Get to know Emma!

Hello and welcome, I am Emma, I live in the small village of Standerwick, near Frome on the Somerset/Wiltshire Border with my husband, twenty year old son and our four Springer Spaniels who are my absolute world and my Why! I was born in East Anglia but I grew up in Wincanton, before moving to Yorkshire, until one day my husband Clive, and I realised that we missed the South West to much and that was it, we made the move back! In my spare time I relax with my family, enjoy reading personal development books, fascinated by nature, I also have green fingers so spend much loved time gardening and growing my own vegetables and seedlings. Walking is also on my agenda, especially with our furbabies.  I am also a keen motorcyclist. I have been riding for over 10 years and am grateful for time out on the roads with my husband experiencing what the South West has to offer, it’s the only time I can completely switch off from anything else!

Where it began..

I actually dipped my toe in the property industry when I was about 14 and did work experience for an Estate Agent in Wells, it was actually a family friend who was the branch manager so I got a real insight into what it was all about and I think that is where my passion began. I then started my journey in property in 1998 with a private housing developer in the New Build Industry as a Sales Administrator, working my way through the ranks to board level in the role of Regional Head of Sales & Marketing. As a natural motivator, with enthusiasm and passion I have faced challenges in a mix of both private family owned and major leading developers and have adapted working methods in two very different cultures but all with the same ethos; to build and sell homes, these challenges have shaped me as an individual and my determination has seen me deliver targets for each company year in year out.

So why did I become a Independent Property Agent?

Throughout the years I have spent time listening to customers about the experiences they have had, good or bad when going through the process selling their home, mainly though how frustrated they have felt because the service they received wasn’t to an acceptable standard and communication channels just weren’t effective, I can also relate this to my own personal experiences. Buying or selling can be a stressful time but it really doesn’t have to be, the whole process is actually fairly simple so it should be fun, exhilarating and a memorable experience. I have an absolute passion for property and there is nothing more exciting for me to help people buying and selling homes. Being in senior management I realised I missed the customer interaction so I decided that owning my own business would allow me to do just that and importantly be ultimately responsible for any decisions made and implement the changes to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

So why choose me?

I will provide a personal service tailored to you and your individual needs. You won’t deal with one person for valuation then another to complete your literature then another to inform you of viewings or offers, feeling like you are pulled from pillar to post, why? because there is only me, plus my four Springer Spaniels but they aren’t very good at answering the telephone however they make great feet warmers under my desk!

I only have a select number of clients at any one time which allows me to focus on your property and I can be confident that the service you receive truly does feel special.

I will co-ordinate your sale or purchase every step of the way through to completion and beyond if you need me. I will give you honest advice and recommendations for the right reasons however ultimately any decision will be yours but rest assured you can feel confident you will be making the right one.

I love what I do, so as my client I will support you and build a valuable relationship with you so together the journey can be fun, enjoyable and a truly pleasant experience for both of us.

So what is the process?

Once I have visited your property and then completed my appraisal, I will advise you of a realistic market price. I’ll then arrange and prepare brochure details and professional photography, we can also discuss any other marketing opportunities available to you which will benefit your home for example a Virtual Tour or overhead drone shots, rest assured I won’t be suggesting a marketing strategy that simply won’t benefit your property or you.

Whilst your property be listed on Rightmove and Zoopla plus social media platforms it is essential we create the right impact and generate immediate interest so I will focus on a launch not just a listing. Using a variety of marketing methods is important as I want to get as many eyeballs om your property as I can so I can find you a suitable buyer. 

I will tap into my mailing list of buyers and engage with the local community and the beauty is because I have access to a global network your property will also reach a much wider network to help maximise securing a buyer at the best possible price. I’ll arrange and carry out all viewings, negotiate offers to maximise your price and, as you’d expect from a personal property agent, I’ll help with solicitors and independent financial advisors and provide details of those on my preferred panel that I have worked with for many years that will also deliver an exceptional service to you. I will help by effectively seeing the sale all the way through, to the day I hand over the keys to your buyer and beyond if you need me. You literally don’t need to worry about a thing, apart from packing your moving boxes, although I will help with this should you need me to. I provide a complete hands-on approach because I really do care. 

Do I cover your area?

I’m located just on the outskirts of Frome within easy reach to Warminster, Westbury, Trowbridge, Shepton Mallet and the surrounding villages. I will cover other areas of Somerset and Wiltshire so don’t let that put you off to get in contact and discuss your needs. My sole purpose is to help people and provide them the best service as mentioned above. If it’s too far and I don’t believe I can fulfil my mission don’t worry as I network closely with other Agents of the same ethos who I can refer you to!
